New Funding, New Global Brands, Artificial Intelligence and New Executive Close Out Record Year

(www.medallia.com), the global Experience Management leader announced that the company had a record revenue and bookings year in its fiscal year ended on January 31, 2019. Key milestones for the company included the launch of our Employee Experience solution delivering landmark contracts including replacement of a competitor with one of the world’s largest retailers, one of the world’s largest banks and one of the world’s largest technology companies, adding more than one million employees to the platform in the second half of the year.
In FY19 Medallia was ranked a market leader in the Customer Experience space by leading analysts.
In Q4 FY19 the company signed the largest single customer transaction in its history with a single contract in excess of $50 million.
In FY19 Medallia also announced Medallia Athena™, our Deep-Learning AI Experience Management platform that detects patterns from the vast pool of experience journey data available today and predicts behavior to optimize outcomes.
Now at the start of FY20 we are pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Jimmy Duan as Chief Customer Success Officer, who joined us in February 2019 to lead our services organization.
Also in February 2019, Medallia concluded a $70 million dollar funding round that values the business at $2.4 billion. Participants in the round included RGM Capital, Sequoia Capital Global Equities and Wasatch Advisors. All proceeds were for use by the company.
