Industry Veteran Brings Broad Experience
Menlo Park, CA—September 25, 2007—Medallia Inc., the world’s leading provider of on-demand feedback solutions, today announced the promotion of Juan Pablo Dellarroquelle to Vice President of Engineering.
Dellarroquelle will manage the global engineering operations of Medallia, which has offices in Menlo Park and Oslo.
“With our rapid growth, this is the ideal time to add a VP of Engineering. Fortunately, we had the right candidate in Juan Pablo,” said Medallia CEO Borge Hald.
Noting Dellarroquelle’s “deep knowledge of—and extensive experience in—architecting and building high availability, performance-critical systems,” Hald said “Juan Pablo has the talent, which he has demonstrated since joining us in 2002, required to lead our world class engineering organization.”
Dellarroquelle, previously a Lead Engineer at Medallia, brings a powerful combination of programming expertise and leadership skills to his new position.
“Juan Pablo is one of those rare individuals who can transfer his enthusiasm to his team and, as a result, deliver amazing productivity,” said Hald.
“He and his team also embody Medallia’s core philosophy of ‘build great products,’ said Hald. “Because we hire only the top engineers, we are able to deliver an exceptional degree of quality that our customers deserve and have come to expect from us. Great products are the key to our success.”
Dellarroquelle has managed Medallia’s U.S. engineering operation since late 2006. Prior to that, he created Medallia’s survey engine, a lightweight, customizable data collection facility.
“I am very proud of the caliber of engineers we have at Medallia—it makes my job of delivering great product, on time, that much easier,” said Dellarroquelle.
Prior to joining Medallia, Dellarroquelle worked as an engineering consultant to nearly 20 software companies. He specialized in developing interactive voice response systems including unified messaging platforms and an award-winning voice portal application.
He holds a BS from the Technological Institute of Buenos Aires and CAECE University in Buenos Aires and an MS in Software Engineering from Carnegie Mellon.
