Medallia Names Elizabeth Carducci to New Position as Vice President of Client Services
MENLO PARK, CA—April 3, 2007—Medallia Inc., a leading provider of on-demand feedback solutions to service industries including hospitality, fitness, retail, health care, high technology, and financial services, today announced that Elizabeth Carducci had been named Vice President of Client Services–Hospitality and would head the Company’s new Hospitality Practice Group.
Carducci joined Medallia in 2001 as head of business development. She has been a key executive involved in sales to national and global hotel companies as well as to independent and boutique hotels. Under Carducci’s stewardship, Medallia has become vendor to eight of the top 10 U.S. hotel companies.
“Though Medallia serves a lot of industries, my background is in the hospitality industry,” said Carducci, who will be based in Medallia’s Washington DC sales office. “With the company’s robust growth, it is now time to establish practice areas to provide continued leadership with our world-class solutions for important business segments.”
“As someone who has been in the hospitality industry for awhile, I have a passion for this business—I am very excited to take on a leadership role in initiatives that positively impact guest service and satisfaction.”
Prior to joining Medallia, Carducci held senior management positions with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, ITT Sheraton, and Deloitte & Touche. She holds a BS in electrical engineering from MIT and an MBA from Stanford.
At Medallia, Carducci has leveraged her hotel industry knowledge to lead key hospitality initiatives. She spearheads the Company’s widely-acclaimed Best Practices Conference for hotels, which has become a major industry forum for discussion of guest satisfaction issues. She led development of multiple product features for hotels, including one that consolidates guest complaints into a common platform and allows clients’ employees to collaborate effectively on guest issues.
“We are a company driven by our engineering and programming strength,” said Borge Hald, CEO. “With her hospitality and technology background, Elizabeth has proven her ability to tackle the tough operational and methodological issues faced by the hotel industry and to create successful products for our customers.”
